MPs

The MPs project features portraits of all the members of the British Parliament. Through a unique technique of image animation, I sought to create a transformation of the figure from female to male. This experimental film explores the transformation, presenting it as a continuous flow.

The MPs portrait was designed so that only one eye remains distinct, while the rest of the image loses form, becoming blurred. I interpret these blurs as scars. The person in the portrait appears wounded and incomplete. Evoking the context of war.

By focusing on this one eye, the portrait suggests that part of the individual remains distinct, observing and constantly present.
